Babysitters Training provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The recommended age for this course is 11-15 years old.

Course Information

The HeartCode® BLS Online is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Basic Life Support skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance. The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Basic Life Support training for their clinical duties. HeartCode® BLS consists of a cognitive portion that is Completed online.It will includes all standard scientific learning objectives necessary in professional resuscitation courses, but also allows students to develop their critical thinking, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills, and work on reflection and debriefing, which serves to strengthen their overall learning and work experience.

This method of learning provides training consistency and adaptability to different learning styles. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each knowledge check and each Cognitive Assessment Activity. Students who successfully complete the cognitive portion and the hands-on session (skills) will receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

Course Information 

 American Heart Association's  Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. This is an instructor taught course that explains both single-rescuer and team Basic Life Support. This class trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, how to give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation’s and provide early use of an AED. BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Association’s proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students’ acquisition of skills. Successful completion of the course grants participants a 2 year  American Heart Association (eCard) certification.

Course Information

 The BLS Instructor Essentials Course is taught in a blended learning format. AHA BLS Instructor candidates must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on session conducted by BLS Training Center Faculty. This is a 8 hour course and instructors  will have met all requirements at the end of the day.

Prior to taking this course, candidates must have a current BLS Provider course completion card. Candidates who successfully complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Course, followed by course monitoring, will receive a BLS Instructor card, valid for two years. BLS Instructors are then able to teach the BLS Provider course and any course within the Heartsaver portfolio

To participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification including hands-on training (online-only certificates cannot be accepted) or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course. (Please bring a copy to class)

After you have registered , you must review and follow the directions in the e-mail attachment sent with your email one week before the scheduled class.This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skill session, and a classroom segment. Online material must be completed before attending the classroom activities.
